Each Blink in Honey represents one cell of a large beehive. These cells come in four ranked varieties - Flower, Worker, Brood, and Queen - and each cell produces a different type of resource to be used by the hive. Long press a Blink to mark it for promotion. The next time that cell has full resources, it will automatically evolve to the next type. At any time, you can remove any type of Blink from the hive and double-click it to revert it back to a Flower.
All Blinks begin as flowers. Flowers generate pollen when clicked. In addition, any Flower attached to a Worker will automatically generate pollen over time. The more Workers a flower is attached to, the faster it will produce pollen.
Automatic pollen generation examples
When a flower is full of pollen, it will transfer its resources to an adjacent worker.
A flower transferring pollen to a worker
Workers gather pollen from adjacent flowers and converts it into honey. When a worker is full of honey, it will transfer its resources to an adjacent brood.
A worker transferring honey to a brood
Broods gather honey from adjacent workers and converts it into royal jelly. When a brood is full of honey, it will transfer its resources to an adjacent queen.
A brood transferring royal jelly to a queen
Queens gather royal jelly from adjacent broods and convert it into strength. When a Queen is at full strength, it will flash lightly, then trigger a hive-wide celebration. This will empty the resources of all cells in the hive, except for other queens.
Honey has no actual win condition. Instead, try to find the most efficient arrangement, or maybe the most visually interesting arrangement. The following arrangement is generating 7 pollen-per-second with only 3 flowers.
